1st April Pastors Report
Jesus Christ was fully God and fully human. Today I would like to look at the human side of Jesus Christ. In His human body Christ felt tired and thirsty just like you and I do.
(John 4:4 NIV) Now he had to go through Samaria.
(John 4:5 NIV) So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph.
(John 4:6 NIV) Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
(John 4:7 NIV) When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”
Many times we forget that Jesus was fully human and experienced the same thing we experience. Because He was human He knows what we are going through in good and bad times.
That is why He tells us to cast our cares on Him because He cares for us.
(1 Pet 5:6 NIV) Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
(1 Pet 5:7 NIV) Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
(1 Pet 5:8 NIV) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
(1 Pet 5:9 NIV) Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
(1 Pet 5:10 NIV) And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Christ tells us that He will never leave or forsake us. With all these promises from God, isn’t it time to claim some of them?
Join us this Sunday and learn more about the one that loves you so much that He was willing to give His life for you.
