God in his love for all humanity would like them to repent and become part of his family.
Ezek 18:26 NIV) If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die.

(Ezek 18:27 NIV) But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life.

(Ezek 18:28 NIV) Because he considers all the offenses he has committed and turns away from them, he will surely live; he will not die.

(Ezek 18:29 NIV) Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Are my ways unjust, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

(Ezek 18:30 NIV) “Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.

(Ezek 18:31 NIV) Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel?
God wants to give us a new heart and a new spirit.

(Heb 8:10 NIV) This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

(Heb 8:11 NIV) No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.

(Heb 8:12 NIV) For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Isn’t it time to claim God’s promise?

Please e-mail or call me for more information on how to claim God’s promise.

(Ezek 18:32 NIV) For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

God tells us over and over through out his word that we are his children and that he loves us and wants to be in our lives. The question we need to ask ourselves is, “are we willing to accept that love”.

(1 John 3:1 NIV) How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

(1 John 3:2 NIV) Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

(1 John 3:3 NIV) Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

Are we willing to allow Jesus Christ to purify us we the love that God wants to share with us?

Again how do we relate to God? We are told that we need to have faith. What is faith?

(Heb 11:1 NIV) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Where should our hope come from?

(Psa 62:5 NIV) Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.

(Psa 62:6 NIV) He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

(Psa 62:7 NIV) My salvation and my honor depend on God ; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

(Psa 62:8 NIV) Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Selah

Trusting in God gives us hope which produces the faith that we need, especially in times of trouble.

How do you relate to God in times of trouble? There are usually two types of reactions. The first is to become angry at God for letting such a bad thing happen to you or someone you love. The second is to trust God, seek His help and trust him to work it.

Some scripture to turn to in times of need.

(Heb 13:5 NIV) Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

(Heb 13:6 NIV) So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

(Rom 8:28 NIV) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

No matter what we encounter in life, may we trust God to use it draw us closer to Him,

If we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour, we are asked to allow him to help change our lives. In the bible we are given some things we need to do.

(Col 3:1 NIV) Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

(Col 3:2 NIV) Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

(Col 3:3 NIV) For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

(Col 3:4 NIV) When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

(Col 3:5 NIV) Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

(Col 3:6 NIV) Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

(Col 3:7 NIV) You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.

(Col 3:8 NIV) But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

(Col 3:9 NIV) Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices

(Col 3:10 NIV) and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

(Col 3:11 NIV) Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

(Col 3:12 NIV) Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

(Col 3:13 NIV) Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

(Col 3:14 NIV) And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

(Col 3:15 NIV) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

(Col 3:16 NIV) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

(Col 3:17 NIV) And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

In this time in history, we are so blessed in this nation. God has given us so much. My question to you is what have you given God? What pleases your parents, isn’t it spending time with them? It is the same with our heavenly Father. The greatest gift you could give him isto spend time with him in prayer, bible study, and attending a worship service in your local area. Everything we have comes from God, isn’t it time to give something back to him? Spend some time with God and you will be better for it. Try it and I am sure you will like it.

God expressed his love toward us by what he was willing to do for us. To receive that love and make it part of your life, all God asked is that we allow Christ to begin to work with us.

(John 3:16 NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:17 NIV) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

(John 3:18 NIV) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

(John 3:19 NIV) This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

(John 3:20 NIV) Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

(John 3:21 NIV) But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

As we celebrate the 234th birthday of this great nation I ask you this question, “Has our nation strayed from the principles that it was founded on?” One of those principles was honoring God by setting time aside on Sunday to be with Him. Today it seems that we are to busy to spend time with God. Again it seems we use God as a spare tire, we contact Him only when there is a problem or crises in our lives. As we see the moral decay taking place in our nation and the whole world, we are warned to not forget to spend time with our God. May we heed that warning.

(Heb 10:25 NIV) Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

(Heb 10:26 NIV) If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,

(Heb 10:27 NIV) but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

We will be celebrating the birth of our Nation this coming Sunday. Our Nation was founded on the belief that there is a God. Our leaders over the years have expressed that belief many times. It seems that we are now straying away from that belief. We are given many examples of what happens when we forget where our help comes from. This Sunday and throughout the rest of this year I ask you to pray for this Nation and its leaders.

(2 Chr 7:14 NIV) if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
