Today we hear many saying that it does not matter what your religion is, we are all going to be saved.
Is that what God’s Word the Bible tells us?
Notice what we are told over in Acts.

(Acts 4:10 NIV) then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

(Acts 4:11 NIV) He is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.’

(Acts 4:12 NIV) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
God tells us that there is no other name whereby we can be saved.
Isn’t that reason enough to trust Him with you life?
Pastor Jim Meade

Over in Psalms 139 we are given some important information about how God works with us.

(Psa 139:13 NIV) For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

(Psa 139:14 NIV) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

(Psa 139:15 NIV) My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

(Psa 139:16 NIV) your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Notice what David tells us here in the last verse All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Here David and you and I are told that All the days ordained for us were written in God’s book before one of them came to be.
God has a plan for you and I, the question we need to ask ourselves is, “Are we willing to follow the plan God has for our life?”
Why not ask God to show you His pan and then ask for help in following that plan.
It can’t hurt and it may make life a lot easier to live.
Pastor Jim Meade

Have you ever taken time to ask God about His plans for you? Is there something that God wants you to do? Notice some things God tells us about our plans and His plans.

(Prov 16:9 NIV) In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

(Prov 19:21 NIV) Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

(Prov 16:3 NIV) Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
Have you considered starting your day by asking God what He would like for you to do for Him.
Why not try asking, it can’t hurt and you may be surprised how life can become easier to manage.

Have you taken time to consider what God has done for us? Over two thousand years ago one God came to earth as one of us. The impact of that event is still changing this world. Through that life we have absolute forgiveness of all our sins, a way to have eternal life, and the most wonderful thing of all, we can become the very sons and daughters of our heavenly Father.

(Mat 13:38 NIV) The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one,

(Mat 13:39 NIV) and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

(Mat 13:40 NIV) “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.

(Mat 13:41 NIV) The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

(Mat 13:42 NIV) They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

(Mat 13:43 NIV) Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
God had made a way for everyone to become part of His family, the choice is up to each of us.
If you need help in understanding what salvation is all about, just e-mail me or call, I would like to help.
It is amazing what you can learn by reading a section of God’s Word daily. It can’t hurt and you will be surprised at what you can learn.

(2 Tim 2:15 NIV) Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

(John 17:17 NIV) Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
As we begin the New Year wouldn’t it be great to find out the truth about what this life is all about? Try it, I think you will like it.

Christmas is about God’s vision for His Children. God never wanted humanity to experience the suffering that we experience today. Because Adam an Eve rejected Gods way of life, God set in motion a way for them to still experience the opportunity to become part of His family. Christ’s coming into this world on Christmas Day open the doors to humanity to once again be the children of God.

(Luke 19:10 NIV) For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
All God ask of us is to accept Christ into our lives. No hoops to jump through, in fact all He ask us to do is accept Jesus Christ into our lives.

(Acts 2:38 NIV) Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

(Acts 2:39 NIV) The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off–for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
In just a week we will start a New Year, wouldn’t it be great to not only start a New Year, but a New Life.

(Rev 3:20 NIV) Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

(Rev 3:21 NIV) To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.

(Rev 3:22 NIV) He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Isn’t it time to start a new life, think about it as we begin a New Year.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call or e-mail me.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and coming blessed New year.

What is Christmas all about, that is the question we need to ask? Christmas is more than just a day. Christmas is about Gods vision for all humanity. Job asked the question,

(Job 7:17 NIV) “What is man that you make so much of him, that you give him so much attention
That question is answered in a verse that most of us know by heart.

(John 3:16 NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

(John 3:17 NIV) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Christmas is about what God wants to do for us through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus became one of us so that He could make a way for us to become children of God

(Heb 2:6 NIV) But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

(Heb 2:7 NIV) You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor

(Heb 2:8 NIV) and put everything under his feet.” In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.

(Heb 2:9 NIV) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

(Heb 2:10 NIV) In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.

(Heb 2:11 NIV) Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
In these verses we begin to see what Christmas is all about and this only the tip of the iceberg. We will look at more in the days ahead.
It is my hope that you will take time to visit us.
Pastor Jim Meade

The promise of the birth of Jesus Christ runs as a thread through the Old testament, starting with the promise of an offspring of Eve who would crush Satan.

(Gen 3:15 KJV) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Then Abraham’s great-grandson, Judah, was promised that an eternal scepter would come from his line.

(Gen 49:10 NIV) The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs and the obedience of the nations is his.
Isaiah foretold that a virgin would bear Jesus.

(Isa 7:14 NIV) Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
The Prophet Micah said that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem.

(Micah 5:2 NIV) “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
Isaiah foretold the torturous death Jesus would die and why.

(Isa 53:1 NIV) Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

(Isa 53:2 NIV) He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

(Isa 53:3 NIV) He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

(Isa 53:4 NIV) Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.

(Isa 53:5 NIV) But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

(Isa 53:6 NIV) We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

(Isa 53:7 NIV) He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

(Isa 53:8 NIV) By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.

(Isa 53:9 NIV) He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

(Isa 53:10 NIV) Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.

(Isa 53:11 NIV) After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied ; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.

(Isa 53:12 NIV) Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
God has given us many proofs that His Son was coming and has come.
