Senior Pastor – Grant Forsyth

Grant was ordained as an Elder in November 2011 and is licensed through Grace Communion International. Grant has completed his biblical and ministerial courses through Ambassador College of Christian Ministry and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Christian Ministry. He is retired from his 35 years in the electric power industry and now works full time in ministry in the community.

He became Senior Pastor in May of 2012. Prior to that Jimmie Meade was Senior Pastor and began his role as Assistant Pastor to allow more time for travel in retirement.

Associate Pastor, Small Groups Coordinator & Worship Leader

– David Borum

Pastor David hails from Track Town, USA (Eugene, Oregon). He has been serving full-time as our associate pastor since May of 2024. David received his B.A. degree in Missiology from Northwest University in 1994. At this time, he is well on his way to completing his Master’s degree in Pastoral Studies through Grace Communion Seminary.
David went through our denomination’s residency program back in 2017-2019. After completing his residency through the congregations in Eugene and Salem, Oregon, he was installed as the Lead Pastor of Grace Communion Northshore located in the Seattle, Washington area in 2020. He served that congregation from 2020-2024.
In David’s off-time he plays in the band, Pine Grove Collective and exploring all that Michigan has to offer.  He is a big fan of deviled eggs, the Portland Timbers and coffee that resembles road tar.

Assistant Pastor – Jim and Kim Meade

J&K2Jim and Kim are the former Senior Pastor. They began this charter of our church, serving in several communities within the Blue Water area. Jim and Kim moved the congregation to Kenockee in 2008 in our current location. They enjoy specializing in Church Life and Family Life responsibilities and have touched many lives in the years of their ministry.

Children’s Ministry Coordinator – Angela Ashbrook

Angie Ashbrook and her husband Chris raised their daughters in St Clair beginning in 2004 until they moved to Kenockee Twp in 2019.  Chris and Angie are Highschool sweethearts, and both graduated from Imlay City High school and have been married since 1998.  Angie worked in an auto dealership for 7+years until she decided to stay home with her daughter, have another baby and then later opened her own home daycare.  Once her daughters were in school, she worked as The Children’s Ministry Coordinator at their church for 5 years before heading back to her “Career” in auto sales in 2013.  Angie loves the outdoors, family activities and being involved in the community.

Pre-School Leader/teacher – Mary Bolla

Mary Bolla comes to us with a lot of experence working with children. Mary operated a State licenced Day-Care for 8 years in her home. She also worked at St. Marys Child care and substitute-taught for 5 years and has taught our “preschool disciples” here at the church for 5 years. Her husband Dan and her love gardening, animals, nature, and all the things we see in God’s creation. Mary also leads the “Kids Club” program once a month here at the church.
